Mitchell High School Show Choir - "Friend de Coup"  (Friends take over)

Friend de Coup is under the direction of Chris Miller, Mitchell High School alumnus, is choreographed by Stephen Todd and arranged by Heath Ewing, both MHS alumni. The show pit is directed by Julie VanGorp.

Friend de Coup has been in existence since 1984 and is comprised of 54 singer/dancers, 12 pit members, and 5 traveling tech crew members and 7 members of the home tech crew.                

Our 2009-2010 Competition Schedule includes Lincoln, NE; Hastings, MN; Sioux City Heelan, IA; and Council Bluffs, IA.  We will also travel to Orlando, FL this season.

Friend de Coup meets outside of the school day on Tuesday, and Thursday evenings with occasional Saturday practices.  Along with the competition show and the competition season, the students put on an annual winter show, Up With Show, that runs for three nights during the first part of December; an annual week long Dinner Theatre in April; and we host our own annual Show Choir Classic, a competition held at the “World’s Only Corn Palace” in March.
